Protest, proscription and the question of complicity. A collection for examining the distance between what institutions permit, what society accepts, and what the evidence shows.
01 / Law
What is legal?
Which power was used? What must be proved? What did the court actually decide?
02 / Institutions
What is normal?
Which relationships and decisions escape scrutiny? When is an accepted practice still open to challenge?
03 / Evidence
What is real?
Separate a document from an inference, an allegation from a finding, and a moral argument from a legal conclusion.
Editorial starting point: legality does not settle every moral question. Equally, an accusation of complicity is not proof. This collection asks what evidence would establish responsibility—and what evidence would challenge that account.

Jury returned 12 not-guilty verdicts. Richard Barnard convicted of one count of criminal damage and given a conditional discharge. Jury hung on 23 other counts. Six defendants (Barnard, Ammori, Scherer, Cooney, Brouard, Arnott), later called the Elbit Six, were listed for a retrial, reported as listed into 2027. Declassified UK later reported Elbit lobbied the Home Office for that retrial.
Summary
First major consolidated Palestine Action prosecution. Trial opened 13 November 2023. Defendants rejected a plea deal under which Ammori and Barnard would plead guilty and the others would be acquitted. Prosecution witness Ofer Meishar, Elbit chief security officer, did not attend; the report says an Israeli government letter said he could not leave Israel.

Reporting uses Filton 6, Filton 18, Filton 24 and Filton 25 for overlapping groups. Twenty-four people were charged in connection with the 6 August 2024 action. Not every name of the wider 24 was confirmed from a primary court list in this pass.
Court
Woolwich Crown Court, Mr Justice Jeremy Johnson (first six); second group at the Old Bailey before Judge Patrick Field KC; a retrial listing was later mentioned at Manchester Crown Court
Charges
Aggravated burglary, criminal damage, violent disorder. Samuel Corner also faced GBH with intent. CPS did not charge a terrorism offence but asked the judge to treat the offending as having a terrorism connection under s.69 Sentencing Act 2020.
Outcome
First trial verdicts
2026-02-04. All six not guilty of aggravated burglary. Rajwani, Rogers and Devlin not guilty of violent disorder. No verdict on criminal damage, or on Corner's GBH count, or on violent disorder for the other three.
Rest of 24
2026-02-18. Al Jazeera reported the remaining defendants were formally acquitted of aggravated burglary after the prosecution offered no evidence.
Retrial
2026-05-05, Woolwich. Head, Corner, Kamio and Rajwani guilty of criminal damage. Rogers and Devlin not guilty. Corner not guilty of GBH with intent; guilty by 11-1 of GBH without intent.
Sentences 2026-06-12

Fatema Rajwani

Terrorism connection
Johnson ruled the criminal-damage offences had a terrorist connection. Reporting describes this as the first time a UK criminal-damage conviction was sentenced with that enhancement. The finding was not a count on the indictment and was not left to the jury.
Second trial
From 22 June 2026, eight alleged organisers. Wikipedia and later reporting: jury acquitted William Plastow of violent disorder; after 37 hours, Sean Middlebrough guilty of criminal damage; no verdict on seven others. A retrial was provisionally listed, with dates reported as June 2027 or June 2028 depending on the outlet. Treat the relisting date as unsettled.
Contempt
Contempt proceedings were opened against defence barrister Rajiv Menon KC over his first-trial closing speech. Jurisdiction was disputed; a substantive hearing was adjourned.
Site
Elbit later closed the Aztec West site. September 2025 is the date given on the Wikipedia page.
Summary
On 6 August 2024 people entered the Filton Elbit site. Prosecutors said damage was about £1 million to £1.2 million, and that a police officer, named in Wikipedia as Kate Evans, suffered a spinal fracture. The six people accused of being inside were held on remand for about 17 months before the first trial, which ran from 17 November 2025. The judge refused a necessity/Gaza defence. Five of the six were bailed after the February acquittals on aggravated burglary; Corner was not. At the retrial the judge restricted what the defence could tell the jury. Sentences in June 2026 totalled a little over 26 years before the 45-day deductions.

Old Bailey. Trial opened early October 2026 before this file was compiled. Prosecutor Anne Whyte KC. All nine deny the charges.
Charges

Summary
Dawn entry on 17 June 2024. The prosecution case, as opened in October 2026, is that one group confronted security while another entered the building, and that a guard, Billy Dennis, was struck and sprayed. A security Land Rover was damaged. Damage and any export-licence consequence are disputed or unproved; do not treat campaign claims of a cancelled licence as a court finding.

Charges
Conspiracy to commit criminal damage, and conspiracy to enter a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or interests of the UK, under the National Security Act 2023 and the Criminal Law Act 1977. Not charged under the Terrorism Act for the break-in itself.
Outcome
As of
2026-10-17
Result
No trial verdict yet. Damage figures in open court and police statements conflict: an early £7 million figure; later £1.7 million spent with a possible rise toward £15 million. The prosecution has said the total was not final.
Summary
People entered the base on 20 June 2025 and sprayed two Voyager aircraft. Palestine Action claimed it. Four people were charged on 3 July 2025, a fifth in August, a sixth in May 2026. Divisional court
[2026] EWHC 292 (Admin), 13 February 2026, Dame Victoria Sharp PQBD, Swift J and Steyn J. Proscription quashed as contrary to the Home Secretary's own policy and disproportionate under Articles 10 and 11 ECHR.
Court of appeal
[2026] EWCA Civ 721, 15 June 2026. Home Secretary's appeal allowed on both grounds. Quashing order set aside. Proscription held lawful. Cross-appeal on procedural fairness and Article 14 refused. A Scottish petition, Murray v Advocate General (COS-P1017-25), was noted as ongoing.
Summary
The legal status of the ban changed twice in 2026. From 13 February to 15 June the High Court quashing stood. From 15 June the Court of Appeal reinstated the ban. Support, membership and uniform offences under sections 11 to 13 Terrorism Act 2000 attach again. Maximum on indictment for sections 11 and 12 is 14 years.

Lobbying and institutional scrutiny
Seven accounts imported from the supplementary extraction. These are allegations and attributed descriptions, not findings of judicial interference. A meeting or contact does not, by itself, establish improper influence. The underlying correspondence, complete context and responses are needed to test each account.

Context
Meeting following repeated raids on Elbit Holborn offices.
Disclosed content

Both supplied files are retained unchanged. A derived dataset makes the supplement valid JSON and removes unresolved citation tokens; it does not turn those tokens into verified references. Supplementary fields originally labelled “verified” are presented as “reported”. The five enrichments sit alongside their base records.

Source counts are not an audit of independence: several articles may repeat the same account.
Corporate decisions do not establish causation by a campaign without further evidence.
Names, custody status and trial outcomes in imported material have not all been rechecked. No adverse inference should be drawn merely from inclusion.
Original compiler’s limits
Ten independent sources was realistic for Filton, the proscription case, Brize Norton, Defend Our Juries, Barclays, Allianz, the Balfour statue and Oldham. It was not realistic for a one-day lock-on that only two outlets covered. Those cases are still included, with the sources that exist.
No BAILII transcript of the Filton or Teledyne criminal sentences was found. Those outcomes rest on contemporaneous court reporting.
Defendant lists for the wider Filton 24 are incomplete. Only names read in opened reports are included.
A few URLs come from the CAGE bibliography after PDF text extraction. The Mancunian Matters URL was line-broken in the PDF and is omitted rather than guessed.
Social posts are included only where the post itself is a report with a link, not as evidence of the underlying fact.
